History

The Keystone Rural health Consortia, Inc. began operations on February 2, 1976 in Emporium.  Our mission statement of "One team working together for better community healthcare" exemplifies our attitude both toward each other and toward the communities that we serve.  Since our beginnings, we have expanded to Coudersport with the Central Potter Health Center, opened dental clinics in Emporium and Johnsonburg, initiated primary health care in Snow Shoe at the Mountaintop Area Medical Center, acquired a general practice in Smethport with the addition of the Misty Valley Health Center, and broadened our services to provide child and family counseling and services with the inclusion of The Family Center in Emporium.  Our organization continues to grow in order to provide much needed health service to rural communities throughout Northern and Central Pennsylvania.
